Governor Murphy announced that gyms and indoor amusements will be allowed to reopen on Tuesday, September 1st at 25% capacity.

Group fitness classes are limited to 1 person per 200 feet. Face masks are required at all times.  Social distancing and sanitization will be required, as well as logs for contact tracing purposes.

Announcing that the state has applied for FEMA’s Lost Wage Supplemental Assistance Program, Murphy called on President Trump and Senate Majority Leader McConnnell to reauthorize the $600 weekly federal unemployment benefit that expired at the end of July.

‘While we will investigate every possible penny that we can get into the pockets of hundreds of thousands of New Jersey families’, the $600 benefit will provide the security needed for families, said the Governor.
