Murphy Backs Reelection of Trenton Mayor Gusciora

Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora calls for federal action to fight gun violence after 6 people are shot in one night.

Governor Phil Murphy today endorsed Reed Gusciora for re-election as Mayor of the City of Trenton:

“Over the past four years, Mayor Gusciora has put the City of Trenton on a new path: keeping his promises and working directly with residents to restore confidence in City Hall,” said Governor Murphy. “He’s worked tirelessly to realize an economic revitalization in the city, invested in recreational opportunities for youth, and worked to make the city safer by taking illegal guns off our streets. I’m proud to endorse his re-election this November so we can build on this progress and continue moving Trenton forward.”

  1. I personally appreciate what Murphy has done of immigrants in NJ. The legislation he single handly fought for gave immigrants the freedom to drive without being in fear of being deported. This has tremendously improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of NJ residents.

But endorsing Gusciora reverses this in the lives of those immigrants living in Trenton. Gusciora has done little to nothing to improve the lives of Trenton residents. Gusciora doesn’t know how to manage his administrative team, his directors, or his city council. He has been inept to even provide a stable law enforcement department so residents are constantly in harms way to violence.

Murphy needs to stay out of LOCAL POLITICS.
