Governor-elect Phil Murphy said U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) will have his support in 2018 if the senator seeks reelection.

Murphy’s full statement:

“There is a reason why I refused to speculate on any matters related to this case. Our justice system is built on the foundation that we are innocent until proven guilty.

“Senator Menendez is a strong voice for New Jersey, and I look forward to working with him to stand up for our people against President Trump’s disastrous tax hike and further efforts to kill the Affordable Care Act. Should he decide to seek reelection, he will have my full support.”
