Murphy Hits Back at Allen for Repeating ‘Tinfoil Hat Stuff’ from Fox
At his weekly briefing this afternoon, Governor Phil Murphy threw an elbow at remarks made by Diane Allen, Jack Ciattarelli’s running mate, who last week revved up the Republicans’ statewide campaign by savaging the incumbent Democrat, especially his record with women.
What rankled the governor?
Allen said the following on the New Jersey Globe Hour Hour:
“I really was afraid that Biden was going to be tearing this country apart. And I mean right now, look at all these people with COVID who are coming across the border, and it scares me. They’re put on buses, I’d expect some of them are coming up to New Jersey, not a good idea. Look at the people who were pulled over from the border who were carrying illegal guns, or drugs, whatever. So there’s a lot of things going on that I didn’t want to see go on. And that is the reason that I voted for Trump.”
Asked generally about misinformation and COVID-19, Murphy at the War Memorial this afternoon said he encounters too many instances to name, then honed in on Allen’s remarks. He referred to a “ridiculous Fox News narrative.”
“[They’re saying] the reason COVID is raging is because illegal immigrants are coming over the border encouraged by this president and being put in buses [to spread the virus].
“That’s like tinfoil hat stuff,” Murphy griped. “When you hear something that’s crazy like that, don’t repeat that.”
At the briefing, Murphy noted that he intends to take a vacation with his family over the coming days, and intends to be in touch with Acting Governor Sheila Oliver and Department of Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli.
There will not be a weekly briefing on COVID a week from today while Murphy vacations out of state.
Ciattarelli, for his part, had scheduled a trip to Israel.
Murphy is an absolute clown, Can’t wait until he’s gone. And the “tinfoil hat” information he referred to is FACTUAL. The Biden administration is allowing illegal aliens with COVID to storm the border and then he’s been busing or flying them to different parts of the country. Nobody else except for Murphy is disputing that.
The illegal invaders were lining up right after the election. Biden has done nothing to stop them. We’ve all seen reports of the low vaccination rates of these invaders. We’ve seen other credible news outlets report on the number of sick invaders coming in. We’ve seen the super-spreader buses, flights to who knows where.
Biden has made a mess of the border, and refuses to do anything about it. Murphy is a liar, full stop. Is he not hearing from Democratic congress-persons on the border? I see them on TV, why doesn’t he? Maybe he should visit some locals on the border. Then come back and repeat his shill-for-Biden lies. This administration has made a big mess down there. And Murphy knows it.
As for his treatment of women, why don’t you get a candid interview with Katie Brennan? Or maybe we should reexamine the NDA that many women were bound by. Reports of harassment by his staff.
Murphy’s a snake oil salesman. He really needs to go.
