Governor-elect Murphy unveiled his communications team today, featuring several veteran New Jersey operatives and campaign communications professionals, and several with roots in NYC government.

Mahen Gunaratna: Communications Director.  A former deputy communications director to NYC Mayor DeBlasio. 

Daniel Bryan: Press Secretary and Deputy Communications Director.  Bryan was a senior advisor and on the Murphy campaign and Communcations Director for Transition2018.  He also served as Chief fo Staff to former Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer.

Pearl Gabel: Digital Director.  Served as Director of Video for the NYC government.

Derek Roseman: Chief Speechwriter.  Served as the campaign communications director.  Former Senate Majority staffer and veteran campaign communications operative.  

Liza Acevedo: Deputy Press Secretary.  Served as Communications Director to NY state Senator Michael Gianaris. 

Edwin J. Torres: Deputy Digital Director.  Served as a photographer for the NYC government. 

Alyana Alfaro Post: Press aide to the governor.  Reporter for Observer New Jersey.

Christine Lee:  Press Assistant. 

Longtime Stick Romano COS Marelyn Rivera is heading to the front office, as per a report by Hudson County View’s John Heinis.
