Three New Senior Aides for Gov. Phil Murphy

Gov. Phil Murphy's administration hires two new senior aides and promotes a third aide to senior position.

Rebecca Schwartz

Senior aide to Governor Phil Murphy – a new hire – Schwartz held positions in several New Jersey government and political offices. Prior to joining the Murphy Administration, she served as the Legislative Director to the District 38 Team of Senator Joe Lagana, Assemblywoman Lisa Swain and Assemblyman Chris Tully.  She was also an adviser to Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker, Assemblyman Tim Eustace, and Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle.  In the political arena, Schwartz is an alumna of the Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee, Hillary for America, and the Monmouth County Democrats.  She currently resides in Livingston.

Jesus Alcazar

Senior aide to the governor, – a new hire – Jesus Alcazar most recently served as the Director of Policy and Legislation for Assemblyman Joe Danielsen. He worked for Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker as the Director of Constituent Relations and Director of Communications for then-Senator Jeff Van Drew, then-Assemblyman Bob Andrzejczak, and Assemblyman Bruce Land. He also previously interned for Congressman Frank Pallone and M Public Affairs (now Kivvit). He currently resides in Franklin Township, Somerset County.

Robert Field

Robert Field, current Aide to the Governor, will be promoted to Senior Aide to the Governor. In his role, Field serves as a liaison between the Governor’s Front Office and Federal, County and Local Elected Officials to assist with various issues. Field’s portfolio includes Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Passaic, Morris, Somerset and Mercer counties. Prior to joining Governor Murphy’s administration in January 2018, Field served as an Aide and Speechwriter for Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop from 2015-2018, Director of Operations for Bonnie Watson Coleman for Congress in 2014, Field Director for the 16th Legislative District Democratic Candidates in 2013 and as a Field Organizer on Victory 2012. He is a proud resident of Bridgewater.
