Murphy’s New Chief Takes the ‘Helmy’

Governor Phil Murphy’s newly christened Chief of Staff George Helmy wasted no time jumping into the job today, addressing the entire front office staff and cabinet at an ‘All Hands’ meeting he convened.

Helmy thanked outgoing COS Pete Cammarano for his service and worked to set a new positive tone centered on a recommitment to the Governor’s relationships in the statehouse and with officials throughout the state.

According to sources in the room, Helmy summed up his approach as: “We will build on the successes of 2018 and work with leadership in the Statehouse to continue to advance policies that help everyday New Jerseyans.”
