New Jersey Tenants Organization Endorses Vainieri Huttle for State Senate
New Jersey Tenants Organization, New Jersey’s oldest and largest organization dedicated to protecting the rights of tenants, has endorsed Valerie Vainieri Huttle for State Senate in the District 37 Primary.
“Valerie Vainieri Huttle has been on the side of protecting and advancing the civil rights of tenants whenever we have needed her help.” said Matt Shapiro, President of the New Jersey Tenants Organization “We recognize that we are not unique, Vainieri Huttle has fought for the rights of every group that has suffered from discrimination and oppression – tenants, women, people of color, victims of domestic violence and more. This is why we are proud to endorse Vainieri Huttle, we all need her voice in the New Jersey Senate.”
In her capacity as Assemblywoman, Vainieri Huttle has championed legislation to expand access to affordable housing and protect tenants from discrimination, she has also been at the forefront of fighting for lead abatement to keep New Jersey’s families safe. Vainieri Huttle has dedicated her career to fighting for underserved communities, authoring landmark laws to protect marginalized communities and expand their rights under the law.
