New Providence Dem Clewell Leaps into the LD21 Fray
Harry Clewell, New Providence attorney and community volunteer, has launched his campaign seeking the Democratic nomination for State Assembly in Legislative District 21. His campaign has raised over $50,000 in the first week.
Clewell’s campaign issued a statement, “Over the last year we have witnessed a pandemic that has run rampant in our communities- not only affecting the health of our neighbors but also taking an enormous toll on our small businesses. Small businesses are the backbone of our communities and we need leaders who will fight to support and protect them,” the statement said, “Harry is running to bring our Main Street values to State Street in Trenton.”
Harry Clewell is a lifelong resident of New Providence, where he has a long history of giving back to the community, he noted in a release. Clewell has lent his time to numerous organizations throughout the state such as the Veterans Legal Wellness Clinic, Swim for Food and the New Providence Sustainability Committee.
“Unfortunately, our current representatives have failed to fight for our community and our families. Assemblyman Bramnick and Assemblywoman Munoz have chosen to prioritize partisan politics over results for the 21st Legislative District. If given the honor to serve, Harry will bring a fresh mindset and renewed energy to Trenton, where he will work in a bipartisan manner on behalf of his constituents.”
