Newark COO Rogers Going Back to the Private Sector

Rogers

Natasha Rogers is leaving her job as Newark’s first chief operating officer.

She sent this email this afternoon:

“In 2018, at the request of our beloved Mayor, I took a sabbatical from my private sector life in NYC, to join the administration as Newark’s first Chief Operating Officer.  Armed with my background in management, operations, law, and finance I came in focused and humbled to not only partner with you but also to exercise the unique opportunity to work for the city I was born and raised in.  No day has ever been the same but all have been memorable. It is my hope that you all can see the value the entire team has created together.

“As a result of Mayor Baraka’s vision, I have had the privilege, working alongside an army of public servants and private sector leaders at every level- national, federal, state and neighborhood.  ‘And after two and half years I will be returning to life within the private sector, armed with even more knowledge and more teammates in my quest to become a female CEO; a promise I made to my mother and my siblings after I was the first to graduate from high school in our family and a promise I intend to honor.

“I thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey and you for being a part of mine.    As always, I am only an email or phone call away.  To keep up with any new insights from me please use my linkedin.  https://www.linkedin.com/in/natasharogers/”
