Newark Mayor Ras Baraka moments ago gave a stemwinder in support of U.S. Senator Cory Booker.

“We know Cory Booker is going to be the next Democratic nominee for President of the United States and we know he will be the next President of the United States,” Baraka told a cheering crowd.

“He put us on the field and we picked up the ball and got it in the endzone,” said the mayor. “[Former Newark Mayor] Senator Cory Booker got us in the game. …We know Senator Booker started here in Newark. …We need Cory Booker because we need these problems addressed.”
