NJ Conservative GOP Calls On MCRO To Rescind Whitman Invitation
The NJ Conservative GOP has called on the Middlesex County Republican Organization to uninvite Christie Todd Whitman to its annual fundraiser as one of the keynote speakers. Former Governors Kean and Christie are also among the headliners.
“Mrs. Whitman endorsed Hillary Clinton in the ’16 election, two months ago she stated President Trump is unfit to be President calling for him to resign, and now she wants the Republicans to lose their majority in the U.S. Congress. Whitman needs to be uninvited to the MCRO fundraiser on October 5th. I had a discussion with Chairwoman Lucille Panos regarding the Whitman situation” NJ Conservative GOP President Paul Danielczyk stated.
“It’s imperative that the Republicans hold onto their majority for the President to continue with his agenda, and New Jersey will be key in holding that majority,” Danielczyk continued.
“We have a number of close New Jersey Republican races, and there are other Republicans running hard for an election upset. Whitman’s statement is a slap in the face to these candidates and should not be tolerated, no less be a speaker at a Republican fundraiser,” Danielczyk exclaimed.
“Chairwoman Panos has been working hard on filling county committee seats, raising money and supporting candidates, however, this Whitman controversy is hurtful to the entire state GOP and she needs to be excluded from the MCRO event,” Danielczyk affirmed.
“The Democratic State Committee 2018 Conference is being held in Atlantic City on September 20th. That would be the proper venue for Mrs. Whitman to address. I’m confident that she would be welcomed with open arms,” Danielczyk concluded.
Danielczyk is also calling on GOP State Chairman Doug Steinhardt, Senate minority leader Tom Kean Jr., and Assembly Minority Leader Jon Bramnick to address the Whitman remarks about losing the Republican majority.
Middlesex GOP freeholder candidate Rich Castaldo released a statement later in the afternoon calling Whitman ‘another out of touch political elite yearning for attention.’
Right on! Whitman has been out of touch for decades. Time for her to become the Democrat she always wanted to be.
If Mr. Danielczyk doesn’t like Governor Whitman, then he has every right not to invite her to any of HIS events. I’d like to hear all three of the former Governors speak, and I hope the MCRO isn’t intimidated into rescinding her invitation!
