  1. In George Washington Farewell Speech – A farewell speech given after the people begged him to stay on as President for a third term- Our first President spoke of his personal fear that the biggest threat to the Republic was a two party system. Something to ponder when we talk of preserving our Democratic Republic.
The biggest threat to our democracy, is division -driving my hate , vitriol and lack of decency for the other side- Divide and conquer is the method at play.
Those outside the DNC look angry , not happy.
But, I do wish Biden farewell and respect his 50 years of public service and his courage to admit he is not perfect and has made mistakes over his career. He was sent out the door with chants of , “I love you Joe.” And just like that, out to pasture Joe goes.

  2. And just like that, out to pasture Joe goes.
NJVOTER, I would not put it that way.

True, President Biden will leave, but he will take with him our respect, our appreciation, our caring, and our love. Also, when he leaves this earth, we will mourn.
Not breathe a sigh of relief that he is gone.
We will truly mourn this man who guided our country
and cared for us when the need was so great.

  3. Tell that to The NY Times, who states, let’s speak the truth and call it what it really is – A Coup – and a collective sigh of relief was heard nationwide , when it happened. Hence, the politics of joy. It took a mere 48 hours to change the image of an unpopular Vice President into the next coming of Wonder Woman. It just shows how very powerful the media and Democratic machine is.
But, that is a very gracious eulogy to a man, who was sent to pasture in the most heartfelt way.
