NJGOP Chairman Announces New State Party Executive Director
New Jersey Republican State Committee (NJGOP) Chairman Doug Steinhardt is announcing Phil Valenziano as the new Executive Director of the committee. Phil will replace Theresa Winegar who is moving on to serve as Tom Kean’s campaign manager for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional district.
“Theresa Winegar has been an integral part of the NJGOP’s fight to re-build, re-brand and re-engage,” said Chairman Steinhardt. “Her leadership helped lead us to our best legislative gains in 28 years, and a completely re-invigorated GOP in New Jersey. She will be sorely missed, but we are pleased to announce that Phil Valenziano will be stepping in to help the NJGOP build on that success,” said Chairman Steinhart. “Republicans in New Jersey have real opportunities in 2020 and 2021 and Phil is a sharp an experienced operative. He will be a tremendous asset as the NJGOP helps deliver a majority in Congress and takes back the Governorship.”
Valenziano added, “New Jersey deserves better than Phil Murphy and the tax and spend Democrats in the Legislature. Whether it’s the worst GDP growth in the continental US, the nation’s worst business climate, or the weekly scandal coming from the Governor’s office, New Jerseyans deserve a government as good as they are, and they aren’t getting it right now. I am excited to come home and help Chairman Steinhardt fight for honest answers to our state’s real problems.”
Phil Valenziano is a New Jersey native with over a decade of campaign, government, and business experience. Most recently, he managed Alva Strategies, a full service public affairs and political consulting firm. Previously, he served as Campaign Manager for Assemblyman Jay Webber’s 2018 campaign for Congress and has worked for Governor Chris Christie, Governor Kim Reynolds, Governor & Ambassador Terry Branstad, Senator Mitt Romney, and others.
He is a graduate of Colts Neck High School and The Catholic University of America.
