In an increasingly observed district, comedian Chris Rock, who lives with his wife in Alpine, donated $3,000 to the LD39 campaign of Linda Schwager, Annie Hausmann and Jannie Chung this past week.

The trio of Democrats are threatening state Senator Gerry Cardinale (R-39), Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi (R-39) and Assemblyman Robert Auth (R-39) in what Speaker Vincent Prieto (D-32) and his quarterback at the Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee (DACC), Mark Matzen, have turned into a real contest, according to sources in both contests.

Auth had a fundraiser this past week anchored by former NYC Mayor Rudy Giualiani, and accepted a team donation from statewide aspirant U.S. Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-3).
