TRENTON –  Generally regarded as one of two front-runners for the position of lieutenant governor candidate on a ticket with Phil Murphy, Assemblywoman Sheila Oliver (D-34) was absent today.

“Wedding, I’m told,” a source told InsiderNJ.

A source close to the former speaker said she has a family wedding that she planned travel for at least 4/5 months ago.

The other potential LG candidate, Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter (D-35), voted aye on the budget that failed, sparking a statehouse crisis with a budget deadline coming at the end of the week.
