NEWARK – Democratic gubernatorial nominee Assemblywoman Sheila Oliver (34) left no doubt about her intentions regarding communications with the media should she and Gubernatorial candidate Phil Murphy win in November.

“Absolutely,” Oliver told InsiderNJ, when asked if she intends to do press conferences as lieutenant governor, which would contrast sharply with the sitting occupant of that post.

Republican Governor Lieutenant Governor – now a candidate for governor – did not schedule press conferences with the media during her seven and a half years in office, as Governor Chris Christie opted for a silent LG while he regaled reporters.
