Oral Arguments Begin in Supreme Court NJ Sports Betting Case

Following oral arguments heard this morning in the U.S. Supreme Court Building, Bill Pascrell III expressed confidence that the nation’s highest court will rule in favor of sports betting in New Jersey.

“The men like sports betting and the women don’t vote,” Pascrell told InsiderNJ, as he sized up the five males and three females Supreme Court. “I think the case will fall along gender lines, and I think we’re going to win.”

Pascrell drew his conclusion based on what he heard from the judges as they spent about an hour and a half this morning listening to oral arguments. “Based on their line of questioning, it was pretty obvious the women were on the other side of the fence pretty,” said the Princeton Public Affairs lobbyist.
