Kevin O’Toole, the chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the former LD40 state senator,* on Tuesday lauded Governor-elect Phil Murphy for choosing Gurbir Grewal as the state’s next attorney general.

O’Toole sponsored Grewal to serve as Bergen County prosecutor.

“A most impressive way to start the Phil Murphy Administration – a phenomenal and breathtaking first appointment,” said O’Toole. “Prosecutor Grewal has an exceptional resume and life experiences, is a dedicated family man, and he will make a superb Attorney General. As a fellow Asian American, I’m proud of this ceiling-shattering accomplishment, but he is selected because of his professional ability and sheer intellect.”
