Republican Frank Pallotta filed his paperwork with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to challenge Rep. Josh Gottheimer in NJ’s 5th congressional district.

Today, Republican Frank Pallotta filed his paperwork with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to challenge Rep. Josh Gottheimer in NJ’s 5th congressional district.

“As I’ve talked to my friends and neighbors over the past few months, one thing has become clear to me – Washington, DC is broken.  Josh Gottheimer had his chance and failed.  This country has presented me and my family with extraordinary opportunities and I am humbled to announce my candidacy for Congress,” Pallotta said.

The second of five children, Pallota grew up in a middle-class neighborhood in Queens, New York.  After graduating from a New York City public high school, he attended St. John’s University and graduated with a degree in finance.

Early in his professional career, he met the love of his life, Patty.  The moved to Mahwah in 1989, and married a few years later.  They went on to raise two boys, Daniel & Michael.
