Party at the Mandarin

Menendez and Currie.

WASHINGTON – So, what do you do when you win 11 of 12 seats in the House?

If you are New Jersey Democrats, you throw a party. The state Democratic Committee is scheduled to host a reception for its winning House members – and Senator Bob Menendez too – Thursday at the Mandarin Oriental, a five-star hotel near the city’s waterfront.

The bash is set to start at 3:30 p.m., a few hours after the formal swearing-in ceremonies.

Hosts include Gov. Murphy, Sen. Booker and embattled state Democratic Chairman John Currie.
