Pinzon’s Stateside Affairs And Gill’s BGill Group Form Strategic Partnership

Brendan Gill, president and CEO of the BGill Group, today announced the formation of a strategic partnership with Cristina Pinzon and her company Stateside Affairs, a minority and woman-owned firm.

“By solidifying the BGill Group’s long-term relationship with Stateside Affairs into a formal agreement, we are integrating our expertise as industry leaders,” said Gill. “This partnership opens up new possibilities in untapped markets and enhances our services to existing clients. Smart, innovative and experienced, Stateside Affairs will consult with the BGill Group to create unique and individualized plans that will yield the best results for our clients.”

Comprised of former journalists, media specialists and government officials, Stateside Affairs is a full-service public and government relations company.  Most recently, the firm has worked with the Phil Murphy for Governor campaign, the State Democratic Committee, the City of Elizabeth, the State of New York, and the Newark Housing Authority. Stateside Affairs professionals used their strong ties to the Latino community to help propel Murphy into the governorship. During Murphy’s successful campaign for governor, the firm managed and oversaw Spanish language media strategy, including the campaign’s media buy for digital, radio, TV and print.

President and founder, Cristina Pinzon, brings more than 15 years of media and government experience. Prior to launching Stateside Affairs, Cristina has worked for several well-known organizations, including the State of New Jersey, NBC, News 12 New Jersey, and United Way. In 2012, she worked as the campaign manager and political consultant for the re-election of Elizabeth Mayor Chris Bollwage and the City Council, helping them win by a 3:1 margin. During that same election cycle, she served as the Latino outreach director in Union County for the NJ Democratic State Committee.

Recently, she was recognized by Univision 41 and named Insider NJ’s Top 100 Millennials. She is also an alumna of Emerge New Jersey, a premiere political training organization for Democratic women in the state. Currently, Cristina serves as a board member and public relations secretary for the Latinas United for Political Empowerment (LUPE-PAC), a non-partisan political action committee whose mission is to increase the number of Latinas in elected and appointed office.
