Post Rible LD30 Flashpoint: Who Will Run with Kean?

In the aftermath of yesterday’s breaking InsiderNJ news about Assemblyman Dave Rible, he following represents a short list of potential candidates to run with state Senator Bob Singer (R-30) and Assemblyman Sean Kean (R-30) on the Republicans’ LD30 ticket:

 

Menashe P. Miller – The current Deputy Mayor of Lakewood, Miller, a veteran four term committeeman and Major in the Air Force Reserves who has served four times as Lakewood’s Mayor, is an Ocean County favorite. Miller is also a legislative aide to the district.

 

James Bean – Former Belmar Councilman who ran unsuccessfully for Mayor has a personal story and following in the Belmar area.

 

Gary Rich – The veteran Monmouth County Freeholder and Spring Lake resident who is not seeking re-election this year could instead opt to run for the State Assembly.

 

Claire Fench – The former Monmouth County Clerk and Wall Township resident, created a PAC two years ago to support Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno’s political efforts – the former clerk may choose to renter politics

 

Gregg Olivera – Manasquan Councilman and likeable shore elected official has built a good social media presence

 

Rob Nicastro – The Deputy Mayor of Howell and close ally to Chairman Shaun Golden could jump in but has a lot of baggage courtesy of the Asbury Park Press.

 

Robert Walsh – The firecracker Howell Councilman has toyed with running for higher office multiple times. This could be it.

 

Dominick DiRocco – Former Christie Aide and Deputy AG, DiRocco is an establishment favorite in Wall.
