10 Democratic Women Candidates Earn the Endorsement of
Mercer County Federation of Democratic Women

PRINCETON, NJ – At their latest meeting, the Mercer County Federation of Democratic Women (MDFDW) chose to endorse 10 Democratic women candidates within Mercer. MCFDW members expressed confidence in these candidates to provide exemplary local leadership.

Recently, the Center for American Women and Progress noted in its Report Card for New Jersey that “[m]ost New Jersey counties continue to draw poor to mediocre grades for their efforts to elect women as freeholders and mayors, but do somewhat better in electing women to local councils. Mercer County sits at the head of the class overall.” The Center for American Women and Progress is a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, and nationally recognized as the leading source of scholarly research and current data about American women’s political participation,

In continuing Mercer’s strong tradition of electing women to all levels of local, county, state and federal office, MCFDW and its members are proud to provide financial and strategic support to our incumbents and candidates: these women bring progressive, Democratic ideals to their office and their proven successes are unsurpassed.
