The 12^th Annual Prom for Members of The Arc of Warren County Community Will Celebrate a Past Era

Why:                     Committee members for the program consist of individuals who utilize the services of the Agency.  They oversee the event planning decisions for this opportunity under the management of Carinne Buzzuto, Self-Advocacy Advisor and Training Coordinator including the theme, which is That 70’s Prom: A Dressy Disco. This event was developed 12 years ago after a resident communicated that she regretted not going to her own high school prom to her support staff employee Vickey Heymach.

Members of the media are invited to The Arc of Warren County’s 12^th Annual Prom from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington.  The Arc of Warren County Prom Committee are residents of the organization and oversee the planning decisions for the event, including theme and decoration selection. Approximately 130 guests are expected to enjoy the festivities.

The Arc is a national organization that serves individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their family members since 1950.  The Arc of Warren County is one of 700 chapters of The Arc and serves more than 1,100 people annually for the past 65 years.  Programs include residential group homes and supervised apartments, day services, community based supports, advocacy services, recreation and summer camp, Special Olympics training, early intervention and a wide variety of additional social services.
