27TH LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT TEAM APPLAUDS MIKIE SHERRILL DEBATE PERFORMANCE

After Mikie Sherrill’s decisive victory in tonight’s NJ-TV debate, Senator Richard Codey, Assemblywoman Mila Jasey, and Assemblyman McKeon of the 27th Legislative District, which overlaps with the 11th Congressional District, issued the following statements:

“Tonight, Mikie Sherrill again demonstrated why I am proud to support her candidacy for the 11th Congressional District,” said Senator Richard Codey. “In my four decades in the the legislature and as Governor, I’ve rarely met someone as prepared to serve. Her background as a Navy helicopter pilot and Federal Prosecutor gives her a special perspective on the issues.  She has a unique way of relating to everyone, Democrat, Republican or Unaffiliated, Liberal or Conservative, wealthy or struggling.  Mikie Sherrill will fight for all the residents of the 11th.”

“Tonight, Mikie Sherrill showed us who she will be in Congress– passionate, genuine, and fighting everyday to support our constituents,” said Assemblywoman Mila Jasey. “I know that what she showed us tonight is emblematic of who she is and how she will govern. “Mikie Sherrill’s performance should drive home why we need to elect her on November 6,” said Assemblyman John McKeon. “The difference between her and Assemblyman Webber is striking. His extremist views are out of step with the district, and he seems to stand for nothing but pushing his outdated ideology. Mikie Sherrill, on the other hand, made it clear that she is dedicated to bipartisanship and putting the needs of our community first.”
