32BJ SEIU Supports New Jersey Immigrant Trust Act

The nation’s largest union of building service workers proudly supports the New Jersey Immigrant Trust Act.

New York, NY – 32BJ SEIU New Jersey State Director Ana Maria Hill released the following statement in support of the New Jersey Immigrant Trust Act:

“New Jersey stands with families, not for family separations. We stand with all our residents, including immigrant communities who are essential to the fabric of our great state. Now is the right time to formalize these values by passing the New Jersey Immigrant Trust Act, which will allow New Jerseyans to seek protection and support from state and local agencies without fear of deportation. This will increase trust in public agencies, building a stronger, fairer, more welcoming New Jersey for everyone. Immigrants in New Jersey are hard workers and many help provide essential services in the state. They deserve to live without fearing that routine interactions with the government could lead to deportation and separation from their families.”
