CIANJ Statement on Murphy’s Economic Master Plan for New Jersey

CIANJ agrees with Gov. Murphy that New Jersey needs a “reimaging of our economy” and we applaud the creation of a statewide economic master plan. As Gov. Murphy said, we have everything we need to have a successful economy – the people, schools, our location, our access to transportation and more.

By choosing to focus on the innovation economy and returning New Jersey to a position of leadership in technology and invention, we agree that it will stimulate capital to begin flowing into the state again. By creating the Innovation Evergreen Fund, it will help attract investment dollars and entrepreneurs and keep them here.

We look forward to an open dialogue and continued conversation between Gov. Murphy and the business community as this plan evolves and is implemented.
