8th District Assemblyman Michael Torrissi comments on Tuesday’s mass stranding of dead dolphins on Jersey Shore
An entire pack of dolphins washed up on the Jersey shore. As an Atlantic County guy, born and raised, it’s getting to be gut-wrenching what’s going on at our shores. We need to pump the brakes on this wind farm project and completely rule it out as the cause of all the dead whales and dolphins washing ashore, before continuing.
Look, I’m all for energy, whether it’s green, natural gas, nuclear; even diesel plays a big role in making our large trucks and buses run, but when our coasts are turning into a marine-life graveyard, we can’t just push ahead business as usual. It’s time for the Governor and state legislature to do the right thing and pause this project until a study is conducted.
