A Statement from Rep. Donald Norcross

CAMDEN, N.J. – Today, Rep. Donald Norcross (D-NJ) released the following statement:

“The allegations unveiled against Senator Menendez are deeply unsettling. A founding principle of our justice system is that a person is innocent until proven guilty, and they will have their day in court.  We are at a critical time in our country’s history, and we face significant challenges and specific threats.

“Although the Senator has many accomplishments over his decades in public service, we cannot be distracted. For that reason, Senator Menendez should step aside in order to deal with these allegations and so that another can focus fully on the requirements of serving the people of New Jersey in the United States Senate.”
