ABC-NJ Announces Andrew LaFevre as Director of Government Affairs
MT. LAUREL – The Associated Builders and Contractors New Jersey Chapter today announced Andrew LaFevre as Director of Government Affairs, overseeing all state and federal legislative and regulatory issues for its membership.
“Andrew is a highly respected public affairs professional in the Statehouse, with an extensive knowledge of many important and diverse policy areas,” said Samantha DeAlmeida Roman, President & CEO of Associated Builders and Contractors New Jersey. “Andrew will be a strong voice for labor and construction issues in New Jersey, serving on the frontlines in advocating for our member companies.”
Andrew LaFevre is an accomplished government and public affairs professional with extensive experience in government relations, policy development, and advocacy. In his previous role at the New Jersey State League of Municipalities, Andrew coordinated legislative activities and served as a key liaison for municipalities across sectors such as energy, transportation, hospitality, and criminal justice reform.

Previously, as the Director of Government Affairs for the New Jersey Restaurant and Hospitality Association, Andrew represented New Jersey’s second-largest private sector employer, leading policy development and advocacy efforts. His early career includes roles at the National Restaurant Association and Princeton Public Affairs Group, where he gained foundational experience in government and public affairs.
Andrew graduated from Kutztown University with degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice, along with a minor in Communications.
Outside of his professional life, Andrew is an avid automotive enthusiast and a member of the BMW Club of America and Ferrari Club of America. He is also deeply committed to advocating for the fight against human trafficking.
