ABC-NJ Hosts Construction Camp for Middle School Kids

MT LAUREL — The Associated Builders and Contractors of NJ (ABC-NJ) is excited to share the construction industry with the next generation at a 3-day Construction Camp for middle-schoolers in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey.

Campers will get a glimpse into construction trades, such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC, discover careers in construction beyond the trades and learn about the importance of safety in the workplace.

All projects are age-appropriate and supervised by OSHA-certified instructors and Master Craftsmen.

“Construction Camp provides a fun environment for kids in middle school to discover the many exciting career paths in skilled trade work and beyond,” said Samantha DeAlmeida Roman, President of ABC-NJ. “This is a fantastic opportunity for kids to work with their hands, acquire new skills, and learn all about the construction industry.”

Campers can choose from two sessions:

July 25, 26, 27, or August 1, 2, 3, from 9 AM to 3 PM.  The camp site is ABC-NJ, 139 Gaither Drive, Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. The cost to attend each session is $95 and food and beverages will be provided.
