Acevedo Receives 2018 Rising Star Award at 8th Annual Hispanic Heritage Month and Awards Ceremony
The Hispanic Coalition NY, Inc. honored Spokesperson to Speaker Craig Coughlin Liza Acevedo at the 8th Annual Hispanic Heritage Month and Awards Ceremony.
At the age of 18, Acevedo interned with Congresswoman Yvette Clarke. Following this internship, Acevedo interned with the Hillary for America campaign, then moving on and becoming the Director of Communications for Senator Michael Gianaris. After her time with Senator Gianaris, she became Deputy Press Secretary for New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy.
Acevedo has worked on political campaigns in Florida, Atlanta, and New York. She is currently the Spokesperson and Strategic Communications Adviser for New Jersey Speaker Craig Coughlin.
Liza Acevedo is a powerful advocate for economic fairness, lower and middle class families and women and minority rights.
The Hispanic Coalition NY is committed to empowering through education and by serving as a forum for engaging the public in a cultural exchange of ideas and views on social, civic, educational, and economic issues affecting the Hispanic-Latino Community.
