AFL-CIO: The New Jersey 2024 Election Results

The New Jersey 2024 Election Results

While we are still awaiting the outcome of the Presidential Election, the New Jersey State AFL-CIO would like to recognize the work of the Central Labor Councils, Building Trade Councils, state associations, the leadership of our affiliated unions, and especially the thousands of volunteers who became union activists, reaching out to countless union members to arm them with the facts and speak from a place of truth, transparency, and integrity. There’s no doubt that the New Jersey State AFL-CIO has one of the best political programs in the nation, and that’s because of your dedication to improving the lives of working families. For every labor walk, text sent, postcard, workplace leaflets, and face to face conversation, you made a tangible difference in this year’s election, and for that we thank you.

We’re proud to announce that many of our endorsed candidates were elected including Senator-elect Andy Kim, Congressman Donald Norcross in District 1, Congressman-elect Herb Conaway in District 3, Congressman Chris Smith in District 4, Congressman Joshua Gottheimer in District 5, Congressman Frank Pallone in District 6, Congressman Rob Menendez in District 8, Congresswoman-elect Nellie Pou in District 9, Congresswoman LaMonica McIver in District 10, Congresswoman “Mikie” Sherrill in District 11, and Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman in District 12. We also elected 31 Labor Candidates to represent us in our local affairs so far. Three races are still too close to call.
