AFP-NJ Applauds US Senate Confirmation of Paul Matey

TRENTON, NJ – Americans for Prosperity – New Jersey (AFP-NJ) applauded the United States Senate for confirming Paul Matey of New Jersey to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

AFP-NJ State Director Erica Jedynak issued the following statement:

“Americans for Prosperity – New Jersey and our activists applaud members of the US Senate for confirming Paul Matey for the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. AFP-NJ activists know that Mr. Matey is a highly-qualified jurist who will defend our Constitution and they engaged in grassroots efforts including phone calls and letter-writing campaigns to Senator Booker and Menendez to swiftly confirm Matey. Now more than ever before, we need judges who will reject judicial activism, respect the rule of law, and will not legislate from the bench – and Paul Matey will do just that. AFP-NJ has long held that the Senate must put partisan politics aside and we applaud this confirmation and also urge the Senate to continue this important work and fill additional vacancies.”
