Alea Couch joins Hoboken Strategy Group

Hoboken Strategy Group is pleased to announce the addition of Alea Couch as Vice President.

“We are incredibly excited to have Alea join our team. Smart, hard-working, and with deep policy knowledge, Alea will be an invaluable asset for our clients,” said Kay LiCausi, President and CEO of Hoboken Strategy Group.

Alea Couch joins the Hoboken Strategy Group team from the Senate Majority Office where she was a Research Associate under Senate Presidents Steve Sweeney and Nick Scutari. In her role, Alea also served as the Committee Aide to the Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee, chaired by Senator Troy Singleton. Alea was integral to crafting a package of bills that enabled New Jersey to adopt some of the strongest renter’s protections in the country, while providing financial assistance to both landlords and tenants, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I look forward to bringing my professional background and expertise to the firm in order to best serve our clients,” said Couch. “Kay and her team are a talented, well-respected group of professionals. It’s an absolute privilege to have the opportunity to come on board.”

Prior to serving in the Senate Majority Office, Alea served as the Policy Coordinator to Senator Singleton. In 2021, Alea was listed on InsiderNJ’s Insider 100: Policymakers and was named a “Rising Star” on ROI Influencers People of Color 2020 “Rising Stars” list.

Couch received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from Rutgers University and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Public Administration.
