Ambassador David Saperstein to Campaign with Tom Malinowski

(Westfield, NJ) Tuesday, Sept. 4, Ambassador David Saperstein will join Tom Malinowski in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District as Tom campaigns to unseat Republican incumbent Leonard Lance. Saperstein is the former US Ambassador At-Large for Religious Freedom.

“I was proud to work with David Saperstein to defend religious freedom and tolerance around the world, and I’m honored to have his support in our campaign,” said Malinowski. “With white supremacist flyers appearing on bulletin boards across our district, and anti-Semitism on the rise in the United States and around the world, I can think of no better person to help us fight back.”

Saperstein will be the guest of honor at a reception for area voters hosted by the Malinowski Campaign’s Jewish Advisory Council – a distinguished panel of clergy and lay leaders committed to sustaining America’s relationship with Israel, and concerned about the exploitation of Israel to foment division within NJ07’s Jewish community.

As an Assistant Secretary of State, Tom oversaw the State Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism. The Trump Administration has discontinued these efforts.
