American Unity Fund Endorses David Richter for Congress
TOMS RIVER, NJ – September 21, 2020 – David Richter, the Republican nominee for Congress in New Jersey’s Third District, announced today that he has received the endorsement of the American Unity Fund, an organization dedicated to advancing the cause of freedom for LGBTQ Americans by making the conservative case that freedom truly means freedom for everyone.

“Too often, the government serves as an obstacle to prosperity for millions of Americans.  For Americans who happen to be gay or transgender, it goes one step further, denying them the same rights and responsibilities extended to every other taxpayer.  David Richter believes opportunity belongs to all of us—regardless of our sexual orientation or gender identity—and he supports equal rights and equal protection for LGBTQ Americans.  American Unity Fund, an LGBTQ advocacy organization, is proud to endorse his election to the House of Representatives in 2020,” said American Unity Fund Senior Advisor Tyler Deaton.

“At a time when the radical left wants to divide our country even further, I am honored to have received the endorsement of the American Unity Fund.  The GOP is the party of individual liberty and freedom, and that means freedom for all, regardless of sexual orientation.  In Congress, I will be a strong voice for equal rights and equal opportunities for the LGBTQ community and for all Americans,” Richter said.

Richter is the former CEO of global construction management firm Hill International.  During his time at the company, Hill grew from a struggling family business with less than 300 employees into a successful public company with more than 4,300 employees.  A lifelong Republican, Richter grew up in and has spent most of his life living and working in the Third District.  He earned two bachelor’s degrees and a law degree from Penn as well as master’s degrees from Oxford and Harvard.  Richter and his wife Michelle, who have been married for 20 years, are the parents of four teenage daughters.
