AMOROSO AND WOOLLEY CHALLENGE INCUMBENTS HOUGHTALING, DOWNEY TO DEBATE

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Republican candidates Mike Amoroso and Matt Woolley are
challenging Assembly members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey to participate in
the League of Women Voters Assembly Candidates Forum for a policy-specific debate before
the November 5 General Election. They sent a letter to the incumbents’ campaign following
notice of the public event to be held Tuesday, October 22, two weeks before voters go to the
polls.

“Stop hiding behind your negative mailers attacking us and stand on your own merits,” said
Woolley after sending the letter. “There are a lot of issues that are important to families, none
more than affordability and school funding, and voters have the right to know who best
represents their views.”

The General Majority PAC, a super PAC with ties to South Jersey Democratic powerbroker
George Norcross, has sent at least three deceptive mailers attacking the GOP challengers, while
the Houghtaling and Downey campaign has been completely silent so far this election.

“They should stand on their own merits,” followed Amoroso. “Right now all of their
propaganda is being sponsored by the Camden County Democrat machine, which frankly is
disgraceful.”
