Amy Kennedy Calls on Congress to Deliver Bipartisan Stimulus Relief Now

All options including the “March to Common Ground” relief package should be considered.  The people of South Jersey can’t wait.

Brigantine, NJ- Today, Amy Kennedy, candidate for Congress in NJ02, put out the following statement in response to the “March to Common Ground” relief package put together by the Congressional Problem Solvers Caucus.

“I am encouraged by the bipartisan “March to Common Ground” relief package put together by the Problem Solvers Caucus.  Every day I hear about people in South Jersey whose lives and livelihoods have been completely upended by the Covid-19 pandemic. Yet it has been almost two months since meaningful action in Congress.  This package doesn’t include everything we need, but it moves the ball forward to actually get  some additional relief to the people who need it now.  It includes funding for testing and health care and immediate relief to families through direct payments and enhanced unemployment benefits. It also invests in our schools, small businesses, and state and local governments. Families and small businesses here in South Jersey  urgently need help.  I hope this bipartisan proposal will bring Senate Republicans and the White House to the negotiating table.  People are suffering and they deserve leaders who care more about finding real solutions than playing political games.”
