Amy Kennedy For Congress Campaign Launches New TV Ad
“In Congress I’ll fight to put the middle class and small businesses first.“
Brigantine, NJ- Tonight, the Amy Kennedy for Congress campaign will launch a new television advertisement. The ad, entitled “Recovery,” which is in Amy Kennedy’s own voice, talks about the fact that families and small businesses in South Jersey are struggling, “but it didn’t have to be this way.” Amy tells voters, “Politics should never get in the way of making sure everyone has good healthcare and access to a financial lifeline,” and that, “in Congress, I’ll fight to put the middle class and small businesses first.”
The Kennedy campaign has seized the initiative as the first campaign to go up on television in the general election. The new ad capitalizes on the momentum of a string of endorsements, the Cook report moving the race to a toss up, and recent polling showing Kennedy leading Van Drew.
The ad will run heavily on Philadelphia broadcast television and on cable television across all the counties in NJ02, including during Jeff Van Drew’s speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night. The ad can be viewed here.
The script of the ad is as follows:
What’s happening to families and small businesses in South Jersey is heartbreaking.
This crisis is crushing us. But it didn’t have to be this way.
I’m Amy Kennedy. I’m a mother of 5, former public school teacher and mental health advocate.
Politics should never get in the way of making sure everyone has good healthcare and access to a financial lifeline.
In Congress I’ll fight to put the middle class and small businesses first.
I’m Amy Kennedy and I approve this message.
