Amy Kennedy For Congress Campaign Launches Second TV Ad and First Radio Ad

Brigantine, NJ- Tonight, the Amy Kennedy for Congress campaign will launch a second television advertisement and a new radio advertisement.  The TV ad, entitled “Real Solutions,” which is in Amy Kennedy’s own voice, talks about the fact that healthcare costs are out of control and that “the only was to ensure that people get the healthcare they need is through real solutions… not political games.”  Amy pledges that, “In Congress, I’ll work to lower healthcare costs, protect coverage for pre-existing conditions and stand up to the drug companies to lower prescription prices.”

The radio ad, entitled “Recovery,” is also in Amy Kennedy’s voice and talks about the crisis that is crushing South Jersey “economically, physically and emotionally.”  Amy says that, “politics should never get in the way of making sure everyone has good healthcare and access to a financial lifeline.”  She continues, “with healthcare costs soaring out of control the only way to ensure people get the healthcare they need is through real solutions… not the self-serving political games we’re getting from our leaders.” The ad ends with Amy pledging, “As your next Representative I will always put South Jersey’s middle class and small businesses first.”

The Kennedy campaign seized the initiative in August as the first campaign to go up on television in the general election.  These new ads capitalizes on the momentum of a string of endorsements, the Cook report moving the race to a toss up, and recent polling showing Kennedy leading Van Drew.

The ad will run heavily on Philadelphia broadcast television and on cable television across all the counties in NJ02.  The radio ad will run throughout the district on Atlantic City stations.  The TV ad can be viewed here and the radio ad can be found here.

Even before the COVID crisis, too many people in South Jersey were denied access to mental health services and affordable healthcare.

It’s time for that to change.
