Jeff Van Drew is doubling down on his pledge of undying loyalty
to Trump at the expense of the people of South Jersey

Brigantine, NJ- Today, Amy Kennedy released the following statement calling on Jeff Van Drew to start doing his job and serve the people of South Jersey.

“Our country and our community are in crisis because of the devastating impact of COVID-19 and the needless murder of George Floyd, the most recent victim in a seemingly endless string of acts of violence against people of color in America.  We need leaders who will heal when we hurt, listen when we speak, provide direction when we need guidance and show up when it matters.  We have a President who has glorified violence and condoned racism and we have a Congressman who has pledged his undying loyalty to that President.  Now with his silence, Jeff Van Drew is doubling down on that pledge. When Van Drew was elected, he was elected to represent all the people in our community, not just the people he chooses to represent.  Silence is acceptance and his absence in the district speaks volumes.  Instead of working on the elite committee to raise money for Trump’s re-election campaign, Jeff Van Drew should be supporting the people of South Jersey who are struggling.  We need a leader who cares more about serving our community than serving themselves.”
