Amy Kennedy Releases Agriculture and Farming Policy

Brigantine, NJ – Today, Amy Kennedy, candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s second district, released a policy detailing her commitment to supporting South Jersey’s agricultural lands.

Kennedy pledges to fight to preserve our agricultural heritage, address the farm labor crisis, protect and increase farmers’ incomes, support new and beginning farmers, promote fair competition, advance commonsense trade policies, end hunger and food insecurity and fight the effects of climate change.

“I’m proud to put forward a plan for South Jersey’s agricultural and farming community that supports our farmers, fishers and producers,” said Amy Kennedy. “Our farms and fisheries are facing enormous challenges and we cannot continue to let our farmers struggle and our communities face food insecurity. In Congress, I will fight to protect, grow, and sustain a strong and vibrant agricultural sector.”

“Agriculture is an integral part of South Jersey and its history. I’m a life-long farm owner who knows all too well the struggles we’re facing. I’m proud to support Amy Kennedy for congress because she’s taking the time to understand the challenges we face and put forward real solutions,” said Lee Ware, Salem County Freeholder.  “Amy will be a champion for farmers across South Jersey and true representative for the people.”
