Amy Kennedy Releases Women’s Policy Amidst Growing Inequality During COVID

Brigantine, NJ – Today, Amy Kennedy, candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s second district, released a policy detailing her commitment to advancing and protecting the rights of women in South Jersey and across the country.

Kennedy pledges to fight to realize equal pay for equal work, protect access to reproductive care, reduce infant and maternal mortality, make childcare affordable, invest in women-owned businesses and end violence against women.

Amy Kennedy said, “I’m proud today, to not only be putting forth a policy that will protect women across South Jersey, but that will support families across the district. Our economy remains unequal and the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated these inequities. It’s more important than ever that we fight to support and empower women, and in Congress, I will be a champion for the women and families of South Jersey.”

“As a mother, mental health advocate, former school teacher and as a woman, Amy knows the struggles our families are facing here in South Jersey,” said Audrey Miles, Vice Chairwoman of the Atlantic County Democrats and Brigantine Democratic Club Municipal Chair. “Amy will lift up the voices of those who have too often gone unheard in our communities. She has worked hard to put together a plan that advocates for all women and I know she will be a champion for protecting women’s rights in Congress.”
