Amy Kennedy Reports Raising Over $330,000
in Second Quarter Pre-Primary Report

Kennedy: “South Jersey is hungry for new leadership and
ready to leave broken machine politics behind.”

Brigantine, NJ — Today, the campaign of Amy Kennedy, a former public school teacher and mental health advocate running for Congress in New Jersey’s 2nd District, announced that she raised $334,183.60 in her second quarter pre-primary report.

Kennedy’s total receipts were $584,258.05. The campaign has $236,003.93 cash on hand. In stark contrast, Brigid Harrison raised $97,255 and reported only $9,777 cash on hand.

Said Kennedy, “I am honored to have the grassroots support of so many people across South Jersey.  With everything that is happening in the world, it’s clear now more than ever that leadership matters. South Jersey is hungry for new leadership and ready to leave broken machine politics behind.  As a member of Congress, I will never forget that I am, first and foremost, a member of this community and I will never pledge my undying support to anyone other than the people of South Jersey.”

With a massive cash on hand advantage heading into the final weeks of the campaign, the momentum of a strong and commanding debate performance tonight, and the endorsement of Governor Murphy, Lt. Governor Oliver, Martin Luther King III, NJEA, CWA, End Citizens United, and many others, Amy is poised to win the primary and take on Jeff Van Drew in the fall.
