Anbaric Statement on the First New Jersey Offshore Wind Transmission Stakeholder Meeting

March 22, 2022 – Anbaric Development Partners, a leading developer of electric transmission projects, released the following statement today from Janice Fuller, President, Mid-Atlantic, regarding the first New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) stakeholder meeting on the Offshore Wind State Agreement Approach Transmission Initiative:

Anbaric applauds the BPU for holding the first in a series of public stakeholder meetings on the offshore wind transmission solicitation process. Anbaric believes public engagement and stakeholder input is critical to the long-term success of the OSW industry, and by allowing bidders to discuss the benefits of transmission-specific projects, the BPU has taken a step forward in their commitment to a thorough and transparent process.

“Further, Anbaric is pleased to be a part of this nation-leading process with its all-underground transmission designs which increase grid reliability while dramatically reducing the number of needed cables and associated trenching, versus AC designs, as well as advancing our local partnerships, commitment to union labor, and industry best cost protections.

“Today’s presentations by all make clear that the industry has embraced the benefits of planned transmission, which Anbaric has long advocated for, including reduced environmental impacts, optimized points of interconnection, lower costs, and ability to help scale the industry. Today’s presentations were an opportunity to showcase how the Boardwalk Power Link projects offer the most future-looking, cost-effective and efficient solutions for New Jersey.”
