Andy Kim Announces Endorsement from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund

MARLTON, NJCongressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) announced he has been endorsed for reelection by the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.

“When the Supreme Court overturned Roe and the 50 years of precedent that protected women’s healthcare rights, I witnessed some members of Congress celebrate the rolling back of rights. That was hard to watch. On the other hand, I also witnessed this community coming together to support one another in a time of fear and uncertainty. We knew it was coming, but we decided to stand up and let the Supreme Court know that the people will have the last word,” said Congressman Andy Kim. “I will always be an advocate for reproductive rights and have supported the Women’s Health Protection Act and Ensuring Women’s Right to Reproductive Freedom Act to protect everyone’s autonomy over their own bodies.”

“2022 is poised to be the most consequential year for abortion access in a generation. This year, the right to decide our own futures is on the line — and up and down the ballot — like never before. That’s why we must protect the seats of leaders in the House who have a consistent record of standing up for our right to basic health care and the freedom to chart our own paths,”  Alexis McGill Johnson, president of Planned Parenthood Action Fund said. “In the last year, we’ve seen these members support meaningful measures to advance access to reproductive health care in the U.S. and globally. Amid the relentless threats to safe, legal abortion, we will need their leadership more than ever.”

Congressman Kim is proud to represent the community where he grew up. He continues to have a strong coalition of grassroots support that has been behind him since 2018 and helped him secure two historic victories. Without taking a dime of corporate PAC money, Congressman Kim’s campaign has raised more than $5 million this cycle through grassroots support. Prior to serving in Congress, Congressman Kim worked as a civilian advisor to four-star generals and at the Pentagon, and served under both Republican and Democratic Presidents. He now resides in Moorestown with his wife Kammy and two young sons.
