Andy Kim Posts Strongest Fundraising Quarter in District History for Democrats in NJ-03
MARLTON, NJ – National Security Official Andy Kim reported raising over $1,030,000 in the last three months, a new fundraising record in New Jersey’s third district. Kim has brought in a total of over $2.1 million from over 45,000 contributions since the start of his campaign. The campaign currently has over $1.6 million cash on hand.
This quarter wraps up a successful three months for the campaign, with both public and internal polling showing Andy Kim and Tom MacArthur in a dead heat and record-breaking Democratic turnout in the 2018 primaries.
“This is a milestone for our campaign as we come closer to changing Washington” Kim said. “Our thousands of supporters are proving that it’s possible to run one of the strongest campaigns in the country without taking a dime from corporate PACs. Voters here are ready to hold Tom MacArthur accountable and vote for new leadership in Washington.”
“Folks are upset with Washington politicians, especially politicians like Tom MacArthur, who wrote a health care bill that raises premiums and guts pre-existing conditions protections after he took tens of thousands of dollars from prescription drug companies. Said Zack Carroll, Andy Kim’s campaign manager. “In contrast, Andy is running because he and his family have experienced what countless others in our country have – out-of-control health care costs. The momentum we’re seeing is because the contrasting priorities of these two candidates couldn’t be more clear.“
