Andy Kim Launches First Ad Against Health Care Repeal Author
MARLTON NJ — After numerous polls and rating agencies have called New Jersey’s Third Congressional race tied (Monmouth Poll, Cook Political Report, Inside Elections), the Andy Kim campaign launched its first ad.
The new ad highlights Kim’s commitments to the community:
- Serving this country
- Served under both Republicans and Democrats
- Putting people above special interests
- Refusing to take a dime of corporate PAC money
“From Afghanistan to the White House Situation Room, Andy Kim has devoted his whole life to service and putting people and our country first, no matter what,” said Kim campaign manager Zack Carroll. “In Congress, Andy will continue his devotion to service, by refusing corporate PAC contributions and working to lower prescription drug costs, protecting Social Security and Medicare, and bringing real middle class tax relief to New Jersey families. The contrast between the two candidates here couldn’t be clearer, and we’re eager to have this important conversation with voters over the next two months.”
Tom MacArthur has a history of taking money from big corporations and special interests, and voting for their interests at the expense of his community. MacArthur took over $400,000 from prescription drug and insurance companies and wrote the bill to gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions and raise premium costs for older Americans. He invested nearly a million dollars in health care companies, including drug companies, while the bill was being written. MacArthur also invested upwards of $250,000 in oil companies shortly before voting to give them a $25,000,000,000 tax break.
